December Planner Addict Box and Sticker Addict Box UnBoxings

Hey Beauties!!!!

I hope everyone has been having an absolutely amazing holiday season!! This entire year has been such a whirlwind, but I'll save that for an end of year post. Today I want to share with you an unboxing post of my December Planner Addict box and December Sticker Addict Box. These are currently the only two subscription services I'm signed up for - and I'm never disappointed!!

I ordered my first Planner Addict Box in September and loved it so much that I also signed up for the sticker addict box for October. If you're interested in checking out the PAB (Planner Addict Box) you can find more info by clicking [HERE]. I'll also leave some previous unboxing videos here for you guys to check out as well.

Let's jump right into the December boxes! Starting off with the Sticker Addict Box, each month comes with 4 mini kits from various designers. Each month different designers are featured so you get a chance to see everyone personal style in action in your planner. However, sometimes favorite designers are featured again! Many of the designers also include coupon codes for you to use on any future purchases.

When I took these photos I had actually already used one of the kits in my planner (which explains the missing stickers!). I filmed a Plan With Me Weekly Spread which I'll also leave here for those interested:

Cute Sticker Overload?!  Ugh, I'm absolutely in love!

Let's move on to the December PAB: Planner Addict Box.

Overall, I have been over the moon happy with this subscription service month after month. I'm super excited to see what's coming up in 2017 and decorate to my little hearts desire!!

Talk soon,

xoxo

How I Blow Dry My Hair | Smooth & Sleek Hair with Remington Thermaluxe

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Remington®. The opinions and texts are all mine.

Hey Beauties!

The holiday season is in full swing and life, on my end, has taken some insane, busy, and very unexpected turns! Not only am I trying to enjoy the holidays, holiday shop, cook, bake, decorate, and all the usual hustle and bustle, I've also gotten an amazing opportunity to jump back into my career. Working on my career full-time, doing YouTube/blogging part-time, being a full-time mother and just enjoying every second of life is TIME CONSUMING to say the least! The hardest part? Looking well put together through it all.

My hair is naturally very curly and frizzy, which is not the most presentable look. I like to keep it smooth and sleek so that I can look more put together and just overall more neat, especially for work. For years I used a flat iron because it was just the quickest alternative for me. However, the direct heat and damage caused by my flat iron is definitely showing up after so much time of constant straightening. I had a problem. I needed to find a quick but healthier way to straighten my hair, that would preferably last a long time.

I had the awesome opportunity to partner up with Remington and test out their Thermaluxe™ line of hair tools. As part of the partnership I was asked to purchase the Thermaluxe Dryer and any other item of my choice in the Thermaluxe line. When I saw that the blow dryer was required my first instinct was, "Do I reallllyyyy want to work on this collaboration?!" You see, I avoid blow drying my hair like the plague! My arms always get so heavy and tired and it seems to take me forever to get one strand of hair dry. I always hated blow drying my own hair!

I did my research and red up on the brand and their claims and finally decided to give it a try. After all, if it worked it would be such a help for me when getting ready in the morning! The dryer claimed to dry your hair up to 50% faster AND with less heat damage. I was definitely excited to try it out. I ran right over to Target to pick up the Thermaluxe Blow Dryer as well as the Thermaluxe Slim Wand.

Target is always my go-to and I found the entire line easily in the hair appliance aisle within the beauty department. Beside the dryer I was asked to pick 1 of 5 products from the Remington Thermaluxe line. These included: Thermaluxe Setter, Thermaluxe Slim 1" Straightener, Thermaluxe Wide 2" Straightener, Thermaluxe Slim Wand, and Thermaluxe Wide Wand. I decided to go with one of their curling wands. I liked the slim option better for tighter curls. Tighter curls also last longer on my hair.

I particularly loved this wand because it's set up in a way where the base of the wand delivers a higher heat than the tip. This actually results in more volume toward the root and curls that last even longer. I loved the way my hair came out with the wand.

Now for the dryer.... I knew I had to test it out as part of the partnership, but boy was I dreading it. My arms felt heavy just thinking about blow drying my own hair. I actually decided to set up shop, so to say, and go ahead and film the process for you guys. I'll let you watch that video below before I continue...

As you saw, I was super happy with the results. This is hands down my favorite blow dryer of all the ones I've ever tried. It is also, by the way, the first time I actually stuck with blow drying my entire head. I'm sad to say in the past I was always a quitter. I would do a few sections and get so annoyed I would just finish with a flat iron.

The Remington Thermaluxe Dryer definitely delivers on its claim of half the drying time! I had just-out-of-the-shower-towel-dried-hair and still was able to successfully blow dry it perfectly smooth in a short amount of time. I finished blow drying my hair BEFORE my arms started to give out on me, very proud I must say heehee. The trick I showed you guys in the video helped me a lot too. I free-hand dried my hair first before starting to smooth it dry with a round brush. Even so, I only had to do very minimal rounds of free-hand drying before my hair was about 75% dry. From there I used the classic round brush technique and only needed 2-3 passes through with each section- depending on how thick I parted my sections.

The best part of it all, the style stayed smooth and sleek for 3 work days. On the third day I did use a bit of dry shampoo in the morning on the front portion of my hair - that's where I tend to get oily by day 3. However, the style held and I was able to hold off washing until after work on Day 3. Not only is the blow dryer itself healthier for my hair, but being able to extend the time between my washes is also a huge plus. (AND a huge time saver during the work week!) My hair looked extra shiny and luxurious and I felt confident.

Fall Night Time Routine | Get UnReady With Me | +Giveaway

Disclosure: This is a sponsored blog post.

Hey Babies!!!

It's been quite some time since I've been active here. For some reason, my blog and twitter are the two social media outlets that I always seem to completely forget about. I genuinely do love to write and want to make it a priority to post here more often, like before. As for twitter, well, I think I'll pass - no offense you cute little blue bird.. or is it white?

Any who, today let's kick off the upcoming season with my Fall Night Time Routine or "Get UnReady With Me". I posted a video on my YouTube channel sharing my routine which includes both what I do on a nightly basis as well as a few extra steps that I add in on Friday nights as part of a weekly at-home pamper-yourself spa-night type-thing... What a mouthful!

I want to talk a little more in depth about some of the products I shared with you guys in the video. Also there's a huge $100 giveaway as part of this post as well - more deets on that in a bit!

I mentioned in the video that I have these weird tiny bumps that I've had for as long of my life as I can remember and they never seem to go away. I vaguely remember my mom taking me to a dermatologist when I was younger and subsequently applying some special cream or moisturizer that they prescribed. I was too young to really remember many details but I do remember my mom putting it on me after showers and it was a plain unscented white cream with a similar consistency as the AmLactin line. Now if it was the same brand, a different brand, or if the brand I used as a little girl still exists (it's been quite some many many years since then), I'm not sure. What I do know is that the similarities jogged my memories and made me instantly feel a type of connection to the brand - super weird I know but it was a comforting thought.

Now as an adult I've learned that those bumps have a name: Keratosis Pilaris. This affects about 40% of the adult population, which is a huge amount! Some people get little bumps, like me, while others can get dry or rough patches. It can happen at any age but thankfully it generally is not itchy or painful. I've never felt any type of discomfort from my bumps.

I have however felt self conscious at times, especially dating or starting a new relationship, if my guy goes to touch or grab my arm I always wonder what he's thinking or if he feels the bumps. At least now I can put a name to it if the conversation ever comes up. I also feel better knowing it's a fairly common and completely normal thing. KP is caused simply by a buildup of keratin. There's really no specific reason why the keratin builds up, it just happens sometimes and having dry skin can make the patches worse. There's also no cure for KP but once again, keeping your skin well moisturized can help the condition.

Before I even learned about KP I always knew I had dry or sometimes severely dry skin, depending on the weather and seasons. I always have to gravitate towards products that will give me the proper hydration I need. The entire AmLactin skin care line, as well as the other products in my fall night time routine video are great for dry skin.

I currently am using the AmLactin moisturizing body lotion. I use it right when I get out of the shower to really lock in the moisture. I love that it's unscented because I prefer to shower at night and personally I don't like strong scents when I'm trying to fall asleep. It's also non-greasy which is my top priority when it comes to any moisturizer. I absolutely detest anything that makes me feel greasy, slimy or sticky afterwards. The AmLactin line rubs in quickly and leaves behind only fresh clean moisturized skin. The line has different products to combat various levels of dryness. This one (I call it the green one - super creative, Rocio -__-) has 12% lactic acid, provides an intense hydration and also gently exfoliates the skin. The first time I used it I noticed that my skin overall actually did feel softer the next morning. As for the dry patches on the back part of my arms, I noticed those feeling smoother after about 5 or 6 days of consecutive use.

As the weather gets colder and we move more into winter I'll be transitioning to the AmLactin ultra body cream or the "purple one" as I like to refer to it. This one is also fragrance free and absorbs super quickly into the skin. It's targeted toward helping to heal severely dry areas. For those who get severe dry patches from KP this is a great option.

I also showed you guys the AmLactin foot cream in the video. I la la la love this stuff!! It's great for helping to prevent splits and cracks and it also helps smooth calluses. My heels especially get really cracked if I don't regularly give my feet some TLC. Just like the other products this one is fragrance free and dries quickly - considering it's going on my feet that makes me especially happy. Who wants greasy feet? I'm clumsy enough all on my own without slipping and sliding around as I try to moisturize my feet.

To learn more about the brand check out their website and FaceBook page.
There's also a great video on the AmLactin YouTube page that explains how exactly lactic acid works better than I ever could. To check out their video click [HERE]
