Red Stilettos Can Conquer The World OOTD

Hey Loves!

Happy 2015!!! I hope you all had an amazing start to your year. I'm ready to embark on new journeys this year and to just all together move forward in positive directions!

To kick start my year on this blog I had to begin with a fashion post. This was shot a few weeks ago before the ridiculous cold came to New York but it's one of my favorite outfits. I'm a big fan of all white, but in this case the pops of red are a nice addition. Add a cozy beanie, my favorite heels ever, and a flow and comfortable fit.. nothing short of fashion magic.

I hope you guys enjoy this first look of the year and are excited for many more. My new blogging schedule will be Tuesdays and Thursdays for now. Along with a new video every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on my YouTube channel (MissBarbieBaby) and a new Spanish video every other Saturday. I'm ALSO commenting to a 365 day vlogging challenge so I will be recording every day of my life this year and sharing it with you all on my second YouTube channel (MissBarbieBabyTV). These are not your average butterflies and roses vlogs. They're real and raw and I cry a lot I notice lol. I also have two huge projects I'm working on and can't wait to share with you all!

I'm taking a lot under my wing work-wise this year but I'm excited for the journey.

Love you!

Work Week Chic OOTD

Happy Hump Day!!

We've made it to mid-week and we're that much closer to the weekend!!! I hope you guys are all having a fantastic week so far!! With the "work week" in mind, today I wanted to bring you an office-friendly, interview-appropriate outfit idea. This look is also perfect for a casual spring day-time date, maybe coffee and good conversation with that cutie you've been eying?

I'm not a big fan of blue but for some reason I feel that navy is just so elegant and professional, and a lot less harsh than black. For this look I decided to use a navy and cream color palette. I was especially excited to FINALLY wear this peplum top that I snagged a few months back at JC Penny on sale for only $10!!!!! I wish I could have gotten one in every color but of course, with such a great sale, my size was sold out.

I hope you like this look. Let me know what you think? Also, what else would you like to see on my blog?

I am a Glam Doll OOTD

Hey Beauties! Today I'm sharing a casual "jeans and T" look with a deeper meaning. A gorgeous fellow YouTuber friend of mine created custom T-shirts with the words Glam Doll on them. The message behind the shirts is truly beautiful to me. Her inspiration for creating the shirt came from women in her life who show confidence and fearlessness when pursuing their dreams. We are all Glam Dolls in our own right and as women I have always believe that we should support and uplift one another. Too many women strive to tear others down in hopes of getting ahead. I'm absolutely sure that we can all get much farther by working together and empowering one another. Thank you Melissa for this adorable T and the message behind it. You've truly inspired me and made my wardrobe all the more cuter! (Check out Melissa's YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/superglamnews and her instagram @melissaflores) Now on to the look... Sometimes we just have casual days where we spend the day running errands, this was one of those days. I wanted to be comfy but also stylish. I started with the basic jeans and T blueprint. I threw in some combat boots for comfort and a rugged "I'm cool without trying" effect and a pair of dark sunglasses to really drive that "cool" message home heehee. Finally I added a cardi because NYC just does not want to give into Spring yet, and a patterned coat for a flair of style as well as warmth.

Day 2: Shades of Grey

Hey babes!!

It's Superbowl Sunday and I'm feeling overly unfestive this year. I've completely avoided Superbowl related activities and instead opted for a casual movie date with my little guy. It helped greatly that we finally had amazing weather! It was 50 degrees today and the highlight of my 2014 so far was being able to go out without a jacket today. Oh, the simple joys of life.

Unfortunately I can't always have my regular handy dandy cameraman available so I improvised today and used mirror pics combined with selfies and I also attempted to enlist my sons help. He's not the best photographer but with some practice.... =0]

Outfit Deets:

Basic Long Sleeve: Gap
Sweater: Gap
Scarf: Gift in a Goodie Bag
Purse: JustFab
Printed Jeans: Victoria's Secret
Mocassins: Steve Madden

If you are at a Superbowl party right now I hope you're having an amazing time!! I'll see you beauties tomorrow.

xoxo,
Rocio Laura
