Influenster J'Adore VoxBox

Hey Baby Cakes!

Happy MARCHHHH!!! The month of Spring is finally here wooohooooo!! I don't know about you, but I am MORE than ready!!

Today I'm sharing with you my Influenster J'Adore VoxBox that arrived about a week ago. If you want to watch my unboxing video on YouTube check down below in this post. =0]

Here is an overview of everything that came in the box. Sorry for the head tilt action that I'm causing you, I wasn't sure how to rotate the pic .. sowwwieees

Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas: $4.49 for carton of 20 bags
I'm not the biggest tea person ever but I do like a good tea from time to time. I love camomile tea because it is what I grew up drinking every time I had a tummy ache (with a lot of honey!). The flavors I received include Lemon Chiffon and Creme Caramel. I've yet to try them myself but my mom tried one of the caramel flavors and gave it her stamp of approval.

Hershey's Kisses Milk Chocolate: $5.29 for 18.5 oz bag (pictured above)/ $3.28 for 11oz bag
Milk Chocolate Hershey's Kisses.... Need I say any more?!?!? The clouds parted and I heard angels singing when I saw this huge bag of deliciousness!!

Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes: $3.99
These lashes have tapered ends to more closely mimic natural lashes and blend in better. I love love this style but for my personal eyelashes (which are naturally very long) I feel that these may be a bit short. Which makes them the perfect gift for my best friend =0] .. That's what friends are for right?

Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray: $9.99 for 3.5 fl. oz.
this is infused with keratin and said to keep hair straight for 3 days... As I pick up my jaw from the floor haha. I am totally excited to try this. If it works it will be a summer staple for me as my hair is naturally very frizzy and in the summer time I pretty much finish straightening one side and the opposite side is frizzy once again. Darm humidity! This may become a life saver! Can't wait to put it to the test.

Boots botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask: $9.39
This I've actually tried already and I did enjoy it as a mask. However I noticed it left my face flaky and extra dry afterwards. I had my concerns when I saw "shine away" because I assumed it was for oily skin, but in the mini description included by Influenster it claims that it is not supposed to overdry your skin. ("helps to draw out impurities without overdrying"). We have been having extremely cold weather in NYC lately so I will be giving it another try in about a week - the weather is supposed to be more mild by the end of this week (well, high 30's low 40's but comparatively that's amazing!). I'll keep you guys updated of any changes.

Pond's BB+ Cream Full Review

Hey beauties!

As the majority of my summer adventures dwindle to an end, I sit back and realize that I've been using the Pond's BB+ cream for a month or more already. I think it's due time for a complete review! =0]

Let me start off with this: The Pond's BB+ cream could not have come at a better time for me. It was my summer time life saver for many reasons.

Let's start with the obvious. A BB cream, by definition, already puts the idea of multi-tasking in your head. The Pond's BB+ cream provides build-able coverage and concealing in one. This makes it great for a wide range of activities from a day time BBQ to a more formal night time dinner date. IT also has SPF built into it. This was a huge plus for me because I always forget to apply SPF. It's extremely important to incorporate SPF into your daily skin care routine to protect your face from the sun. I mean, who doesn't want to look young for as long as possible? By having the SPF already in the formula it takes a huge weight off my shoulder. Aside from all of that, the formula also has a built in moisturizer. :insert crowd cheering sounds: For a dry-skinned girl that sounds like heaven in a bottle.

This product arrived at my doorstep the day BEFORE I left to Florida! The timing was impeccable. I used it just about every day while in Florida -minus the days that I was so exhausted from the previous days activities that I was lucky if I even washed my face, let alone applied makeup. I loved the fact that it was an all in one, super quick, on the go product. It literally cut down my makeup time to 1/3. All I had to worry about was how adventurous I wanted to get with my eyes on that particular day, and let me tell you most days it was a natural eye.

I want to touch on the formulation of the BB+ cream. I find that it works for any skin type. Actually, I find that the product pretty much baffles me! Let me explain. Personally I have dry skin so the added moisturizer is a huge plus. Also the 'luminous finish', which is advertised right in the product name, really does leave me with a nice healthy glow to my skin. I look as if I drink all my recommended amounts of water and take all my vitamins daily, which I don't. However, on the flip side, I've used the product on my super-duper-grease-ball-oily-best-friend (sorry, but it's true) and she still had a nice healthy look to her skin which I attribute to the 'luminous' quality, but at the same time she looked perfectly matte. Understand that the product does give a matte finish (another huge plus), but at the same time it provides a luminous glow...... Every time I think about it I just can't understand. Heehee, the innovation is beyond my level, but I'm very happy for it. As a side note: I used the BB+ cream on my bestie on 2 separate occasions. The first time with no setting powder and the second time I used MAC mineralized skin finish to set the product. Using a setting powder did give her a couple extra hours of oil-free wear but the results with no setting powder were pretty long wearing as well. (She didn't have to blot until about 4 hours in to wearing the makeup with no setting powder). Depending on the event, I'll leave it in your judgement if you will need setting powder for all my oily girls.

Some basic info for you:

The packaging is super cute! (haha had to throw that in there)
There is 1.5 fl oz of product
The item retails for under $10
It is currently available in 2 shades - light and medium
It is a noncomedogenic formula (meaning it won't clog your pores)

Another interesting feature of the product is the long term benefits it provides. The formula has a tone perfecting complex which, apart from immediately giving you flawless skin, also helps to even your skin tone in just 2 weeks and visibly diminish the appearance of dark spots.

I hope you guys can see why I'm so in love with this now. Let me know if you enjoyed this review and found it helpful. Also don't forget to stay tuned to my channel for new videos. I'm back on track now and my videos will be up as scheduled - starting with a haul video tomorrow. Finally whoever will be at BeautyCon: I'll be in Los Angeles next week for BeautyCon!!! Woooo can't wait to see you all!!

Don't forget to always be your beautiful best!

Love you! xoxo,
Rocio Laura
