New 2015 Skin Care Products - Peter Thomas Roth

Hey Babies!

Today, let's talk skin care. I was lucky enough to be invited into the home of Peter Thomas Roth last month for an exclusive holiday launch party. First and foremost, being the holiday freak that I am, I have to note that the decor was absolutely stunning!!!!

Along with some of my absolute favorite New York based vloggers and a few new faces, we got to preview the newest products in the Peter Thomas Roth line - some of which haven't even hit the shelves yet. Best part? The swag bag included one of each product (except for the mud mask which I will talk about but I don't have to show you - BUT I seriously think I'll be purchasing it when it hits shelves because I loved it and it was so dark and must look cool on your face haha).

One of my favorite goodies was the 24K Gold Mask. I had actually purchased this from Sephora about a month before the event just because I thought it looked so cool. I had been loving this product so far. Not only does it look cool on - yes I know, the simple things excite me - it's also super amazing for your skin. My favorite part of ALL Peter Thomas Roth masks is that they do NOT, never, ever dry or harden. You can literally leave it on for an hour if you so choose and it will still be moist on the face until you wash it off. This particular one is called the Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Mask. It contains pure 24K gold in it and is a great anti-aging treatment. The mask leaves a glowy look to your skin afterward which gives a very healthy happy impression. This is a great prep item before a big date or important event. It also contains caffeine to help tighten, lift, firm and revitalize skin. Your skin is left looking refreshed and youthful.

A new favorite I discovered were the Cucumber De-Tox De-Puffing Eye-Cubes. These things are amaze-balls and will hit stores in February of 2015. They are perfect for the morning after a long day or a lot of partying. The pack comes with 6 eye-cubes and 6 pouches. In the first pic the cube on the right is liquid and the one on the left is frozen. You basically pop these bad boys in the freezer and they freeze into these eye-mazing eye-cubes. When you need one you just pop it into the pouch (second questions) and use ONE cube for both eyes by gently running it back and forth over your under eye area. Keep switching eyes every 10 or so seconds to not freeze that delicate eye area. This little cube is a power house of benefits. It has cucumber extract which soothes and detoxifies, Aloe Vera which soften and comforts skin (and is amazing for sun burn by the way), Arnica which has healing properties and helps diminish fatigue, dark circles and irritation, and caffeine which increases blood circulation and therefore reduces dark circles. Another benefit that I feel instantly after I use this product is a firming and actual tight feeling on my under eye area. I love that because I can actually feel like something is working and it makes me excited.

Next in the Cucumber De-Tox line is the foaming cleanser. This is a gentle cleanser good for all skin types that helps to detoxify, cleanse and soothe the skin. It also contains Sugarcane and Sugar Maple Extracts to promote cell turnover leaving you with more youthful looking skin.

The final product of the Cucumber De-Tox line that I have to show you today is the Hydrating Serum.  This is also great for all skin types and contains hyaluronic acid which is an amazing ingredient that increases hydration to the skin. Maintaining good moisture levels helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines.

The Un-Wrinkle Fast Acting Serum is the newest generation of this product. It contains Snail Conopeptide which has not been seen used before in skincare. This ingredient helps to reduce and smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing the face. It also has genuine Diamond Dust that creates a type of blur tool effects that will actually blur the look of lines and imperfections. This little bottle is basically a real life instagram filter! =0]

The Camu Camu Power Vitamin C Brightening Cleansing Powder is an interesting product. This is actually a water-activated powder that acts as a daily cleanser and exfoliant. It's gentle enough to be used daily and helps to leave the skin cleansed of impurities and brighten and firm the look of skin. This will be available in February 2015.

The Mega Rich Body Cleanser is full of vitamin E and pro vitamin B5 and now can be found in your room at a Hilton Hotel. This is an awesome partnership and a chance for you the get some extra pampering while on vacay with 6 products by Peter Thomas Roth being offered complimentary in the room. This body cleanser leaves the skin feeling fresh and moisturized and smells amazing.

The final product I have to share with you today will also be available in February 2015. This is the Brightening Bubble Mask Radiance Oxygenating Treatment. This mask brightens and helps to even out skin tone. It contains some ingredients that I found to be interesting because I had never heard of them before. The first is called Fiflow which draws in oxygen to the skin in order to create a plumping appearance. There is also Symwhite and Gigawhite which are natural skin-brightener peptide. Finally, Bearberry Extract is found in leaves and is a natural lightening compound to also brighten skin. The coolest part about this mask is that once you set it on your face it creates an oxygenated bubbling effect. You can then let it sit on the face and rinse it off or at any point just re-rub the product into your face to begin the bubbling effect all over again - without adding any new product.

The final product which I fell in love with but do not have to show you is called the Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask. This will be available in March of 2015. It contains Irish Moor Mud, Hijiji Seaweed, Volcanic Ash and Charcoal. It's a thick dark black and looks so cool to put it on. I'm really excited for this to come out and buy myself one so I can test it out more at home.

Okay loves, that;s all for today. I hope this helps anyone who is in the market for some new skin care products. Check out the brand and look into it some more. They use innovative ingredients and products to provide great results for your skin.

See you babes next Tuesday,

xoxo

Influenster J'Adore VoxBox

Hey Baby Cakes!

Happy MARCHHHH!!! The month of Spring is finally here wooohooooo!! I don't know about you, but I am MORE than ready!!

Today I'm sharing with you my Influenster J'Adore VoxBox that arrived about a week ago. If you want to watch my unboxing video on YouTube check down below in this post. =0]

Here is an overview of everything that came in the box. Sorry for the head tilt action that I'm causing you, I wasn't sure how to rotate the pic .. sowwwieees

Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas: $4.49 for carton of 20 bags
I'm not the biggest tea person ever but I do like a good tea from time to time. I love camomile tea because it is what I grew up drinking every time I had a tummy ache (with a lot of honey!). The flavors I received include Lemon Chiffon and Creme Caramel. I've yet to try them myself but my mom tried one of the caramel flavors and gave it her stamp of approval.

Hershey's Kisses Milk Chocolate: $5.29 for 18.5 oz bag (pictured above)/ $3.28 for 11oz bag
Milk Chocolate Hershey's Kisses.... Need I say any more?!?!? The clouds parted and I heard angels singing when I saw this huge bag of deliciousness!!

Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes: $3.99
These lashes have tapered ends to more closely mimic natural lashes and blend in better. I love love this style but for my personal eyelashes (which are naturally very long) I feel that these may be a bit short. Which makes them the perfect gift for my best friend =0] .. That's what friends are for right?

Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray: $9.99 for 3.5 fl. oz.
this is infused with keratin and said to keep hair straight for 3 days... As I pick up my jaw from the floor haha. I am totally excited to try this. If it works it will be a summer staple for me as my hair is naturally very frizzy and in the summer time I pretty much finish straightening one side and the opposite side is frizzy once again. Darm humidity! This may become a life saver! Can't wait to put it to the test.

Boots botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask: $9.39
This I've actually tried already and I did enjoy it as a mask. However I noticed it left my face flaky and extra dry afterwards. I had my concerns when I saw "shine away" because I assumed it was for oily skin, but in the mini description included by Influenster it claims that it is not supposed to overdry your skin. ("helps to draw out impurities without overdrying"). We have been having extremely cold weather in NYC lately so I will be giving it another try in about a week - the weather is supposed to be more mild by the end of this week (well, high 30's low 40's but comparatively that's amazing!). I'll keep you guys updated of any changes.

To see my unboxing check out the video below xoxo

Let me know what you think of these products? Have you tried any? Want to try any? Did any of you receive this box? I love hearing your feedback!

28 Days of Style: Day 3 Dark and Glamorous

Hi Beauties!!

Today I'm sharing with you my outfit from last night. I had hoped to get it up yesterday but I got back home too late to prepare this post. In the end, it worked out perfectly because today I've just been home in pj's all day. I woke up feeling under the weather so I decided to take it easy today and gather back my strength. So unfortunately I have no stylish Day 4 outfit for you guys but I hope you enjoy what I wore last night.

I received a last minute invitation to a Brooklyn Nets basketball game last night and had to rush to pull together an entire look in about an hour. Being a Brooklyn girl born and raised, missing the game was not an option. To cut corners I stuck with quick messy top knot for my hair and a simple smokey eye with a bold red lip. For my outfit I was feeling dark and glamorous as I attempted to channel my inner Beyonce. Overall, I was happy with the final look. What do you guys think? What did you wear yesterday to start off your week?

Snow Queen DIY Crown

Eeeekkkk! This post is extremely late! I had hoped to get it up in conjunction with my snow queen makeup tutorial... but then... life happened. It's too late for Halloween but maybe next year, or for a different event, this will come in handy.

Anyway, I hope you still enjoy this fun DIY and let some of these techniques inspire you to add your own twists to future projects. xoxo

What I used: (pretty much everything was from Michael's unless otherwise stated)
Glue Gun, Bendable Jewelry Wire, A work mat (from Joann's), Sticks and Twigs (from my back yard)

Snowflakes, Beads, Decorative Pipe Cleaners

Start by creating a loop on one side of your wire. Size the wire to your head in the shape of a head band and create a second loop at the other end. (These loops will help us secure the headband on with bobby pins later). DO NOT cut the wire yet!

Wrap the wire back and forth about 3 times to add some thickness. Cut the end and use pliers to fold and tuck the wire edges so that they don't poke into your head. Ouch!

BEgin to add your twigs and sticks in between the layers of wire. I used a hot glue gun to further secure them in there. Try to look for twigs that have a shape to them, not just straight ones.

On a work surface I glued down some "icicles" and let them dry. They're pretty easy to peel off once they are dried. Add these into your crown as well in the same way we added the sticks. For more dimension add some in front, in between, and behind the wire. This will make it look more 3D and also more realistic.

With the glue gun I placed a layer of glue completely around the wire. This will further help to stick everything into place, seal up any edges so you're not poked, and also give it an overall icy look.

Then I wanted some extra sparkle so I decided to wrap decorative pipe cleaners all the way around the base of my crown.

Next, with some stringed beads I added more decoration. This was a little time consuming because I had to hot glue each bead to the other and create my stack (since they were loose once I took the string off). I then glued the stacks around the crown.

What Snow/Ice Queen is complete without snowflakes??

Finally with some white paint I painted all the high points of the crown, where snow would normally land and stick, to give it an authentic winter wonderland look.

For a better look at the crown be sure to check out my makeup tutorial video below:
